The RATS were active this summer with our two EOHSI educational programs – the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) for undergraduate students and the Toxicology, Health, and Environmental Disease (THED) program for high school students. Both initiatives are run substantially by graduate students and postdocs in the JGPT. This includes overseeing laboratories, giving lectures, and coordinating field trips. We have had a number of SURF fellows enter the JGPT in recent years.
