Jordan Lee was selected as the Scholars and Early Stage Advancement (SEA) Trainee for the month of February in recognition of receiving the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (F31) from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
Jordan was awarded the F31 fellowship for her project “Casein Kinase 2 at the Intersection of Beta2-adrenoceptor Signaling and cAMP Egress” under the mentorship of Dr. Steven An. This project investigates a novel mechanism of GPCR regulation which can uncover new drug targets to treat asthma.
As part of this spotlight feature, her profile was shared on digital displays throughout the Rutgers Cancer Institute and will be highlighted in the SEA newsletter.
The SEA Initiative seeks to strengthen the cancer research workforce by identifying, recruiting, and supporting students, post-doctoral fellows, and early-stage investigators through professional development series, networking, and mentoring.
