During January, a group of JGPT Ph.D. and Postdoc students participated in a 2.5-day iJOBS workshop, SciPhD, that illustrates the intersection between science and business. They spent the majority of the time developing their communication, teamwork, and project management skills. With many interactive prompts and discussions, they learned about the core competencies in business and how they could leverage these competencies in their future careers beyond their studies. This workshop allowed our students to think broadly about the types of careers they want to pursue and gain desirable skills to help them land those careers. A tremendous thank you to Dr. Janet Alder, Dr. Randall Ribaudo, and Larry Petcovic for creating this fun, interactive, career development workshop.
