The RATS invited Dr. Oliver Rando (Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, University of Massachusetts Medical School) to present his research on the “Effects of Paternal Environments on the Next Generation in Mammals”. Dr. Rando shared the latest and exciting epigenetic research from his laboratory. Attendees heard a compelling story about changes in the RNA environment between the testes and discrete regions of the epididymis and their importance in successful implantation. Students and postdocs enjoyed a dynamic back and forth discussion with Dr. Rando after his seminar.
