Toxicology MD/PhD student Jake Lessing, a member of Dr. Maria Gloria Dominguez-Bello’s laboratory, participated in a fully-funded PhD Summer School hosted by SymbNET at the Gulbenkian Science Institute in Oeiras, Portugal. Jake joined 34 other international PhD students and 25 faculty members for this 2-week long summer school to explore host-microbial symbioses across the tree of life.
