On October 11, 2018, Dr. Laura Armstrong, a JGPT postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Grace Guo, presented at the 2018 Fall Symposium and Vendor Exhibition of the North Jersey Drug Metabolism Discussion Group in Somerset, NJ. The theme of the event was “Strategies for Optimizing Pharmacological, Metabolic, and Toxicological Profiles of Clinical Candidates”.  Alongside industry leaders from Takeda, MIT and Eli Lilly and Co., Dr. Armstrong presented her NIH NRSA F32-funded research entitled “Hepatic FXR’s Protective Role Against NASH Development in a High-Fat Diet Induced NAFLD Mouse Model”.
