Five JGPT Trainees (left to right: Alexa Murray, Dan Rizzolo, Cody Smith, Ludwik Gorczyca, Sabrina Walley) are completing a Mini-Course on Artificial Inteligence/Machine Learning in Bioscience. Rutgers faculty from the Department of Biomedical Engineering (Drs. Ioannis Androulakis, Shantenu Jha, Ilker Hacihaliloglu) in consultation with the Joint Graduate Program in Toxicology are hosting the Mini-Course at Novartis in East Hanover, NJ. The course was taught at a basic level to familiarize participants with network theory, artificial neural networks, cloud computing, imaging, case studies and real life examples. This course has been an excellent opportunity for JGPT trainees to network with scientists at Novartis.
