Children and siblings of the JGPT spent the day at Rutgers exploring facets of cell biology, pharmacology, engineering, and toxicology. Twenty kids aged 5 to 12 built simulated cells with candy organelles on jello molds with JGPT predocs, played in the pharmacy simulation suites, and tie-dyed their lab coats. Maybe we will see some of these same children back at Rutgers in a few years pursuing careers in STEM!
