Fourth year PhD student Talia Seymore from the Stapleton laboratory has been accepted into the Pre-Doctoral Leadership Development Academy (PLDA) for the upcoming 2023-2024 year. The PLDA is a competitive year-long program that one must be first nominated for by a senior leader in education, such as a program director or department chair, before submitting a comprehensive application. During this focused course, participants develop skills needed to secure leadership roles as well as understand the complexities of various problems that occur within higher education and how to best solve them. As 1 of 20 total students from over 60 academic departments within Rutgers, Talia will represent the JGPT as she acquires the knowledge and capability to further her education and career.
