In September 2018, Rulaiha was appointed as a NJ Space Grant Consortium Scholar in the Toxicology Program. Rulaiha recently completed her BS degree in Biochemistry from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. This great honor provides Rulaiha with financial support, tuition, and access to outstanding career development activities at Rutgers.

On May 18th, the JGPT held a 3-hour bootcamp on biostatistics. Building upon prior coursework, Dr. Amy Kohtz provided case studies and a host of tools for students to analyze their toxicology data. As students advance in their thesis projects, sound statistical analysis plans will be needed to ensure rigor and reproducibility of data.
On April 17, 2018, the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy held its 8th annual Pharmacy Research Day. Students in the Joint Graduate Program in Toxicology presented their latest research findings ranging from oncology to liver disease to reproductive toxicology. The 2-hour dynamic event featured 100 posters.
